This photo reminded me of the times that people want to have some time alone. No matter how much they enjoy living with family or friends, being able to be alone to think things out, or to make an action plan or to just think of nothing without being hassled is so important to our sanity. Sometimes the only place in a home that even remotely resembles that is the toilet, maybe that’s why people spend so much time in the toilet! At any rate, garden sheds are great for time alone. You can repair things, build things, focus on your hobbies or even just sit and think of nothing.
Spiro used to get so annoyed when he was asked “what are you thinking of?” and if he said “nothing” he was accused of withholding the truth and would get into trouble. So he’d dream up something to say to get his wife off his back. Then he put together his own garden shed where he got some things done, but most of all he could watch sport to his heart’s content and above all – think of nothing without being hassled.
