Rectangular aviary

Aviary RectangularI wrote before about the Hexagonal aviary, so now I want to show you the Rectangular aviary. Which one you have in your backyard depends on your preference and what suits your requirements mostly. Easy to install, they have pre-assembled mesh panels, and these aviaries protect your birds. Such aviaries provide an attractive addition to your backyard.

Jenny has decided to breed budgies and so she had a rectangular aviary installed in her backyard. The chirping is music to her ears and her breeding has flourished. It provides enjoyment to her and the family and brings in a little money too.

Aviaries come in different colours like mist green and zinc.

More about shelving

Garden Shed ShelvingYour garden shed needs shelving for space efficiency. I’ve mentioned shelving before but you will find it interesting to know that in particular there are 2 types which can be fitted. Both are easy to install and are strong enough to hold things that normally clutter the floor.

1. Corner shelves: made of galvanized steel, available in either single or set of three and can be fitted to any garden shed.

2. Hammerfast shelving units: this shelving simply requires a hammer for assembly; no nuts and bolts are required. Also the shelves are adjustable to any height.

Check it out.

Bird homes

Aviary HexagonalI found this photo to show you a hexagonal aviary. You can get different types of bird homes, hexagonal or rectangular aviaries, and they are in colours which complement your yard. Designed to provide good accommodation for your birds this means that you can appreciate birdlife without having to keep them inside or having to chase around in the bush to see them.

Nicholas was 12 years old when his parents promised him the birds of his choice if he was willing to do chores in order to earn some money for his share of the cost of an aviary. This was the most joyful task he had ever had in his life. After six months of dedicated work he had saved up enough that his parents felt his contribution was worthwhile. In actual fact they were so impressed at the way he applied himself to this project. They installed an aviary and he began his bird collection with a pair of cockatoos.

Easy to assemble, aviaries are an attractive addition to your backyard and provide a great home for your birds so that the family can learn to take care of pets.

Garden shed skylight

Garden Shed SkylightsAnother excellent accessory is the garden shed skylight. It fits neatly into the roof of the garden shed and improves the light distribution. Often used in a shed with ventilation gables making the shed a great work area. Workshops are ideal solutions to utilising garden space. Although they are great in this style for hobbies they can also provide necessary quiet space for serious study or planning projects on a desk in the corner.

Angie spent some time with a friend learning community art – that’s the type of oil painting that can be created and completed in the one sitting usually in the one day. Then the oils take about 3 days to dry so a protected space is needed. She found this hobby helped her to settle her anxiety, so she had her husband install a garden shed with a skylight which provided enough natural light and ventilation for her to paint and then be able to leave her work there to dry safely. It was her space and gave her peace of mind.

Sheds like this can be also used for storing garden equipment, bikes and/or used for all sorts of hobbies like building fishing rods. These affordable sheds with skylights and windows can be also installed for you.

Garden shed windows

Garden Shed WindowA garden shed that has a window, and/or a skylight, and ventilated gables, is ideal to use for more than just storage. For example, it can be used as a workshop to attend to small repairs or preparing stuff for your garden out of the harsh sun. Easy to install all garden sheds can have a window.

One of the reasons Peter had a window installed in his garden shed was because he realised he spent a lot of time in the garden and there wasn’t enough shade for him. He loved the sun but his doctor warned him about the sun spots he was developing which turn to skin cancer. He’d had those removed before but knew that not even precautions were as good as prevention. So he took to preparing plants for the garden in his workshop. He also had shelving installed which meant he had more room. This meant he could spend more time safely doing what he enjoyed most in the natural light.

You can have windows installed for you in your garden shed which is also weatherproof. Check it out with any of the dealers on this site, or anywhere else too.

Garden shed DIY installation

DIY InstallationInstalling your own garden shed is so easy. The garden shed comes in an easy to assemble kit which can make you feel great in putting it together. Even your children can be a part of the process and it shows them how possible DIY is. It also means that you save money. These steel sheds are weatherproof and well worth the money spent.

Kevin, a keen gardener, pottered around the garden when they cared for the grandchildren while their parents were at work. He was pleased at the opportunity to be of service to his son and daughter-in-law and this also meant they got to be with the grandkids more often. Bill, his son, realised that the garden his father had prepared needed a garden shed to store the tools and equipment. So he researched and got himself a kit which he assembled with a little bit of help from the kids. This made them feel so important too.

This kind of garden shed can also have a window and skylight installed. It is also great for storage of other things leaving more room in the garage and house.

Garden shed with a shelving system

Filed under: Sheds — Garden Shed Gal at 5:04 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Shelving systemThere’s a difference between a shelving system and other types of shelving for a garden shed. This type of shelving can fit against any wall. It can also be used in your garage or rumpus room. Today I will show how handy it is for your garden shed. Items left on the floor are scattered around and get in the way, whereas a shelving system allows for these items to be stored safely and out of the way. If your using it for storing art and crafts like pottery then it’s kept away from your work area until you can exhibit or sell it.

Julia needs to keep her garden shed tidy because her family uses it to store bikes, surf boards, fishing gear, and craft utensils for school projects. On top of all that she has to store garden tools and garden equipment like a wheelbarrow, lawnmower, and garden pots. The shelving system as well as her corner shelving has been a miracle for the amount of stuff stored in their garden shed.

A shelving system is easy to assemble and steady for all uses. It is also affordable.

Shelving: cornerHaving shelving in your garden shed makes life so much easier. There are different types of shelving but today I will show you the corner shelving. It fits neatly in the corner of your garden shed and can be used for anything from tools to craft items or even office supplies. This means that the rest of the shed can be used for storing garden equipment, tools and you can even have a desk and/or bike in it.

Geoff is an auditor and occupying himself with physical work balances out his 9-5 job. So, whenever he manages to potter around in his garden, apart from the usual mowing and watering, he has developed an attractive garden. Often he credits his garden shed for keeping his tools in good condition and the corner shelving is amazing for keeping the bits and pieces that he needs for that purpose. He also has a bicycle which he rides regularly and he keeps tucked in his garden shed too.

Shelving is easy to assemble and affordable too, making such a difference to how much space is made available in the garden shed and how protected your things are.

Latest garden sheds

Shed Keys, photo by Graeme Finlayson, Glasgow, Scotland, garden shedGarden sheds have changed from old timber shacks to amazing coloured steel lock-up makes. These latest garden sheds also are weatherproof and have slab flooring. Then there are skylights and windows which can be installed if required. So you can use them not only for storage but also as workshops or studios.

Alex remembered when he was a child and the tool shed was an old wooden shack which did have a lock but they hardly ever used it. As he was packing away his tools into his green steel garden shed with it skylight he felt proud of how he assembled it himself with help from his kids. He also kept a portable TV in their for when he had repairs to do which, come to think of it, he managed to do every Saturday afternoon after he mowed the lawn. He thought about how more enthusiastic he was about doing chores, repairs and also packing his things away, now that he has his own shed.

You can also have your shed assembled instead of DIY if you so choose. Check out the affordable prices.

Animal protection

Angry Kitten, photo by Sara Haj-Hassan, Memphis, United States, small petsYoung kittens are so adorable and everyone wants to pick them up and hug them. The thing is that they are so small and anxious that they are scared of people, especially little children who they fear most. Rightfully so, because children don’t know how to be gentle with small animals. That is why it is important that you have a pet shed in your yard where the kitten can spend most of its time, safe and sound.

Anna has 4 small grandchildren who stay over often. This way their parents manage to go out on weekends and Anna gets to see her grandkids. Recently she got herself a kitten which she rescued from the RSPCA. That’s where she got her small dog too and now she had these little ones for company. Oddly the dog and kitten made friends quickly but both were scared of the grandchildren, so when they visited the pets were content to stay in their pet home. The children understood that in time the pets would be more comfortable playing with them, so for now they let them be.

A small skillion roof pet home can provide animal protection for your pets as well as the wildlife. It is DIY and weatherproof, fitting neatly into your yard.
